I grew up in a Christian family. I have felt rejected and unloved as early as I can remember. I turned to cocaine and alcohol at the age of 14 to fill in the void. My drug use continued to progress over the years. At the age of 23, I came to Adult & Teen Challenge for the f irst time. I spent several years in and out of different Adult & Teen Challenge centers. I finally graduated and then went to the Teen Challenge Ministry Institute because I felt like I had a call of God on my life to help other women. I went through a time of restoration after a relapse at Grace House Adult & Teen Challenge. During this time, God revealed to me that even though I had fallen, it was His kindness that led me to true repentance. I’m very grateful for His grace, and I am learning how to receive His unconditional love. He hasn't given up on me! After my restoration I have been learning that God gives me the desires of my heart. I am now working at the coffee truck for The Refuge, and interning at Grace House. It brings me great joy to serve with my Adult & Teen Challenge family who loves and accepts me. God has shown me Esther 4:14, “Perhaps you were created for such a time as this.”
